window 10 is a excellent operating system .But if you use metered internet connection the window 10 is going to suks all yours data with no time .Because it starts downloading update when it has got update .So you need to disable the automatic update.



To stop window 10 automatic update follow the following steps .

If you are using wi fi connection the there are simple ways by you can stop windows 10 automatic update . computer will remember option for that particular and automatic update of window 10 will preventative.If any case you change the IISD name or connected to any other wi fi computer will again start downloading update again ,In that case you have to do this again.

So to prevent the automatic update on window 10  follow the steps below.

1..click on internet access.

2..Go to advance option.


3.. set as metered connection

If you are unfortunate guy like me whose "set as metered" option is not visible.Then here are some another way to prevent window 10 from automatic update .


1.click window key +R 


type "gpedit.msc " hit enter 


now 

2. Navigate to Computer ConfigurationAdministrative TemplatesWindows ComponentsWindows Update.

Professional, Enterprise, and Education editions of Windows 10 have access to group policy and registry settings for this, but even Home editions of Windows 10 give you a way to stop updates from automatically downloading.

For home edition you manually have to enable group policy editor i.e gpedit.msc .
just download this file and install to enable group policy editor download 

Now navigate to C:WindowsTempgpedit and run as administrator

Now follow above steps.

Professional Editions Only

for professional edition here another trick which will prevent you from automatic update 

1.navigate to C:Windows

2.search for regedit and run as administrator

3.Now in regedit move to 
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsWindowsUpdateAU

now you need to create fews keys 

4.Create a DWORD value named “AUOptions” under the AU key and give it one of the following values:
00000002 (Notify for download and notify for install)
00000003 (Auto download and notify for install)
00000004 (Auto download and schedule the install)
